- Development of new lake in Sector 42 for the recreational needs of the residents of the southern sectors.
- Successful organization of 54th National School Games 2008-09.
- Night Food Street established near Panjab University to cater to the needs of the Students.
- New facilities provided at GMSH Sector 16 and GMCH Sector 32 to ensure quality health care to the residents.
- Street Children Centre at Maloya to house street children operationalised.
